How to thrive in 2019!
- Consider learning a foreign language. Spanish, German, Mandarin, French and Arabic are great places to start!
- I stole this from Nike but “Believe in Something”. Really. Believe in hope. Believe in Magic. Believe in a higher power/source. Believe in a code. Believe in yourself.
- Prioritize quantitative and continuous learning.
- Amplify your skill set especially if you are in an industry that is evolving.
- Embrace etiquette, social graces & kindness. “Please” “Thank you” “Good Morning” is effective and gracious, it is not old fashioned, frou frou or fake.
- Stop being a reprehensible bully. Stop mocking people’s appearances. Stop sharing content with the intent of embarrassing others. Stop the repugnant mob mentality. Some of you are stuck in misery because you are too bad mind!
- Likewise, learning how to defend yourself is a crucial life skill.
- Fitness is indispensable. Fitness not only improves your appearance, it is a great friend to your emotional & mental health. Fitness is so much more multidisciplinary than the gym. It can include your diet, Martial Arts, Tennis, Hiking, Horse riding, Swimming, Dancing & Yoga.
- Stay cognizant of current news especially pertaining to your industry & lifestyle. How will it affect you and your family?
- Being passive is not helping you. You have to show more aggression & discipline when it comes to your goals.
- Save money even if it is $5 a week. Even the “tiniest’ of amounts can be the difference between a hot emergency meal & a cold one.
- Insist on having more fun in life. Welcome more comedy, laughter, playfulness and responsible hedonism!
